Magnificent work! Beautiful craftsmanship. How's that thing standing up though?

Hey, you finally decided on a name! Looks even better in this shot. What kind of finish did you use to get that gloss?

Seize the day, or die regretting the time you lost

wow : beautiful grain & shape - I assume it's wall hung?! without being too critical i just feel those hinges are quite intrusive, maybe some top & bottom stud hinges would be neater and more concealed. fine work though - well done!

except i just realised that because of the curvature of the door's edge top and bottom stud hinges wouldn't work... duh! ignore me, i'm having one of those days...

If something is taken, then take it back. if something is given, accept with a smile. Yet if harshness is met for no reason, then return that ten fold. Love and cherish what you have, for it can be ripped away with such violence, that theres no recovery

Thank you very much :) It is supposed to be wall mounted, but for photographic purposes I tied it to the ceiling with black mechanics wire.

Yeah, I'm still skeptical on the name, but it works for now at least. It still just has a couple of coats of sanding sealer on it so I put some furniture polish on it for the picture, to make it look a little more finished. I still have a lot to do to it before I can put the final finish on.

Thank you :) Yeah it needs to be screwed to the wall for balance but it does hold it's own weight. I agree on the hinges, I was hung up for weeks on how to mount them. It was probably the most technical part of the whole thing because they have to line up perfectly and be square and level to the floor. I played with tons of ideas and dozens of different hinges, in the end I felt that this configuration worked the best. They're actually meant for glass shower doors lol

lol its ok, I have those kinds of days all the time

lol thanks! Yeah its tied to the ceiling here, but still pretty precariously balanced. With the glass in it during the shoot there was a few "holy crap" moments when it started to sway.
